Recruitment Counselors

Recruitment Counselors are a key part of the recruitment process and are extremely important for the success of potential new members (PNMs). Recruitment Counselors serve as leaders, mentors, and guides for the PNMs, helping them successfully move through a values-based recruitment process that allows them to explore their own personal and Panhellenic values. We are looking for effective, dependable, responsible, impartial, empathetic, ethical, and enthusiastic Recruitment Counselors.

All applicants must: 

  • Be a student at the University of Kansas.

  • Be an initiated and active undergraduate member of one of the 11 sorority chapters at the University of Kansas.

  • Be in good standing with their chapter (GPA + Financial).

  • Have participated in the Fall Formal Recruitment process as a chapter member.

  • Be able to attend all training sessions.

  • Be willing to fulfill all time requirements for training and service as a recruitment counselors

Accessibility Coordinator

A new addition to the Panhellenic Recruitment team, the Accessibility Coordinator will work to ensure equity, inclusion, and accessibility for individuals with disabilities as they navigate the recruitment process.

All applicants must: 

  • Must be a regular member (see Membership Classes, Article III Section 1)

  • Must be an active, initiated member of a University of Kansas Panhellenic Association Fraternity

  • Must be in good standing with that chapter

  • Must be a full-time student at KU

DOJA Recruitment Team

NOTE: This is NOT a Recruitment Counselor application.

All selected members must be present as a member thereof during the entirety of Work Week and the Fall Formal Recruitment process.

The team will monitor chapters to ensure the process is being carried out fairly and according to the Recruitment policies and all other governing documents. A strict policy of confidentiality will be maintained. 

DOJA’s Recruitment Team will assist the Director of Judicial Affairs in educating chapters on rules and regulations and receiving, recording, and communicating information regarding infractions. DOJA and the Recruitment Staff will delegate other tasks, need be. 

Applications should be downloaded and submitted to kuphajudicial@gmail.com once completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 

All applicants must turn in a recent Degree Progress Report along with this application. The DPR will be reviewed by the Director of Judicial Affairs and the KU Panhellenic Advisor.

Formal Recruitment Assistant

The Formal Recruitment Assistant works alongside the recruitment team through the summer and during Fall Formal Recruitment on a variety of tasks to help the overall process to run smoothly. Particular points of focus include: 

  1. GPA and transcripts approval

  2. Room Booking

  3. Residence Halls

  4. Rest Stops

  5. Campus Director navigation

  6. Mass Communications

  7. Dining

  • Must be an active, initiated member of a University of Kansas Panhellenic Association Fraternity

  • Must be in good standing with that chapter

  • Must be a full-time student at KU

New Member Development Committee /

New Member Coordinator

The New Member Development Committee will consist of new members from varying Panhellenic organizations working to develop programming and education for the Panhellenic community.

The New Member Coordinator shall:

  1. Operate beneath and be appointed by the Panhellenic Director of Interfraternal Relations and Member Development at the beginning of the Spring semester.

  2. Be a New Member of any of the Panhellenic chapters at the time of appointment.

  3. Establish educational and current content to be shared with new members, specifically regarding Panhellenic and its relationship with new members, utilizing the social media and a monthly new member newsletter.

  4. Oversee a committee of one new member from every chapter that meets once a month.

  5. Attend one Panhellenic Executive Board meeting and one General Assembly meeting per month.

  6. Not participate in Fall Formal Recruitment on the Panhellenic Executive Board level and instead will work with their chapter.

  • Must be in good standing with that chapter

  • Must be a full-time student at KU

Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, & Access Committee

The Panhellenic Association's Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Access committee is a task force charged with relaying given educational material to each chapter, identifying programs and resources for our leadership and members, keeping our community up to date on current events, and discussing and brainstorming action plans that relate to topics that could be improved upon. The committee consists of the Director of Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Access and at least one member from each chapter.

All applicants must: 

  • Must have a good standing GPA for their chapter and must hold it throughout the term.

  • Must hold a regular, active membership in their respective chapter.
